Please bring the following documents with you to your first session:

  • Your valid medical prescription
  • Your health insurance card
  • If the reason for therapy is an accident: the accident report form with the date of the accident and the Suva or your accident insurance claim number.

If there is any uncertainty about who will cover the costs, your health insurance company is obliged to pay in advance.

Digital registration and appointment management
With the appointment confirmation by email, you will receive a link that you can use to conveniently fill out your registration yourself in advance.
At the same time, you have the option of creating a user account and downloading the Softplus Cockpit app. This allows you to easily manage your appointments and other functions yourself.
Please fill out the medical history form online or in the app before your first treatment. This enables us to provide a higher quality of examination and treatment at your first appointment.
If this is not possible, please come to our center 15 minutes before your appointment and fill out the form on the iPad on site.

We kindly ask you to cancel appointments lasting 25–30 minutes at least 24 hours in advance and appointments lasting 40–50 minutes at least 36 hours in advance so that we can reallocate the slots. In the event of a last-minute cancellation or no-show, we will have to charge you privately for the cost of the appointment, including VAT. These costs cannot be covered by health or accident insurance.

Physiotherapy is covered by basic insurance. This means that your health or accident insurance will cover the costs.
All you need is a prescription from your doctor.

In addition, depending on your supplementary insurance, billing via the EMR is possible. Please check with your supplementary insurance provider for more information.

Private appointments are available at any time and will be billed to you privately.

A standard physiotherapy session lasts 25-30 minutes. During this time, you will receive active or passive treatment and administrative tasks such as your treatment documentation will be carried out.
Complex treatments such as therapy for neurological disorders, lymphedema, or treatment of multiple areas of the musculoskeletal system can take 30-40 minutes after prior individual assessment and prescription.

The first treatment must take place within 5 weeks of the date of issue. After that, however, treatment can be carried out over a period of three months.
If the first treatment does not take place within 5 weeks, the insurance company is not obliged to cover the costs.

The rate for basic insurance for physiotherapy is set by law and consists of a flat-rate treatment fee and, depending on the case, additional charges. These flat rates are the same throughout Switzerland, for example, the “session flat rate for general physiotherapy” with 48 TPW (25 min) or for “complex physiotherapy” (including, for example, neurological diseases, ATG, MLD, or several affected regions of the musculoskeletal system) with 77 tax points. (Duration 30-40 min. depending on the clinical picture and effort required.)
In the canton of Baselland, tax points are currently multiplied by a tax point value of CHF 1.03 when billed through health insurance.

From July 1, 2025, the accident insurance tariff will be billed at 10.03 (standard tariff for individual treatment) in 5-minute intervals and multiplied by the tax point value of CHF 1.00.
The contract now also includes the following services:
1. Services in the absence of the patient per 5 min. CHF 9.72
2. Conducting home or workplace assessments per 5 minutes CHF 10.03
3. Treatment measures at a distance (online meetings) per 5 minutes CHF 10.03
4. MTT with up to 6 follow-up appointments per 5 minutes CHF 10.23 and independent individual training sessions at CHF 48.47 per unit.
5. Group settings per 5 min. CHF 10.38
6. Travel and time allowance for treatments at home or in retirement homes, CHF 2.23 per minute of travel time.

Private treatments:
Physiotherapy, massage, personal training cost CHF 65 per 25 minutes, and osteopathy costs CHF 14 per 5 minutes.

Normally, there are 9 treatments, but in exceptional cases, the doctor may prescribe more or fewer treatments at their discretion.
As a rule, 4 series of therapy per year are possible without a medical progress report.

Medical training therapy (MTT) is a medically prescribed rehabilitation program that is suitable for use after acute injuries and operations as well as for chronic conditions. MTT is limited to the affected area of the body and should not be seen as a substitute for traditional fitness training.

MTT marks the end of the rehabilitation phase and involves independent training under the guidance of a physiotherapist. The aim is to restore the patient’s physical abilities. This may include improving balance, coordination and posture, strength, flexibility, speed or endurance.

As MTT is reimbursed for rehabilitation purposes, at least one series of physiotherapy sessions must have taken place beforehand.
In addition, MTT is only covered by health and accident insurance once per case, subject to prior approval of costs.

MTT is carried out on medical prescription and is covered by basic or accident insurance. An MTT program is limited to three months. The optimal frequency of training is decided on a case-by-case basis.

The start date is the date on which the training program is created (25 min.).
A follow-up or check-up appointment is scheduled after 15 appointments or 6 weeks (KVG) and monthly (UVG).

At the start of MTT, all training appointments are scheduled for three months and are binding, but can be easily rescheduled or canceled via the Softplus Cockpit app if you are unable to attend.
