Assessment and Second Opinion

Specialisation

In-depth assessment and a physiotherapy second opinion

Complaints that do not improve despite treatment, unclear or contradictory findings, stalled rehabilitation or an upcoming treatment decision: in situations like these, an independent, structured outside view helps.

At 4 Balance you receive a thorough musculoskeletal assessment at master’s level. We look at your complaints in their full context, critically review previous findings and treatments, and show you clearly which factors influence your complaints and which options make sense.

The service is aimed at patients as well as doctors and therapists who would like an expert assessment or advice on a complex case.

  • Clinical examination: neuromusculoskeletal and neurodynamic testing, plus movement and load analysis
  • Clinical reasoning: classification according to the biopsychosocial model (ICF) and screening for red flags that require medical assessment
  • Discussion: a clear explanation of the relationships and joint planning of the next steps

Good to know

A physiotherapy assessment or second opinion does not replace a medical diagnosis. If there are signs of causes that should be investigated medically, we will recommend a medical assessment and, on request, coordinate directly with your doctor.

Registration and costsBring any existing reports, imaging and prescriptions with you, or upload them via our contact form. We discuss the process, effort and costs transparently with you in advance – including whether the assessment can be billed to your health insurance.
