Neurodynamics – Nerve Mobilisation
Neurodynamics – Nerve Mobilisation
What is neurodynamics?
Nerves need freedom of movement. If a nerve is irritated or compressed – for example with subacute radiculopathy or carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) – targeted nerve mobilisation helps relieve pain and restore mobility.
Adapting daily life is just as important: more moderate movement, less prolonged one-sided sitting. Studies show that combining it with manual therapy, osteopathy and myofascial techniques is particularly effective. Treating neighbouring regions and well-dosed, gradual reconditioning (from the single segment to functional movement) support healing and ensure lasting results.
Neural mobilisation is therefore a key building block in the rehabilitation of peripheral nerve compression.
