Dry Needling in Muttenz

What is dry needling?
In dry needling in Muttenz, a very thin needle without medication is inserted precisely into a trigger point – a painful muscle knot. This releases tension, improves circulation and relieves pain. We use dry needling for muscle pain, in sports physiotherapy and in orthopaedic rehabilitation.
Studies show that the precise needle stimulus without medication is enough to deactivate the trigger point. Dry needling has been practised in Switzerland since 1996. We use sterile single-use acupuncture needles under hygienic conditions – but the method should not be confused with acupuncture. The needle is barely noticeable but can trigger a local muscle twitch; this may be briefly uncomfortable and is part of the effect.
If you do not like needles, superficial dry needling or manual trigger point therapy are alternatives.
