Trigger Point Therapy in Muttenz
Trigger Point Therapy in Muttenz
What is trigger point therapy?
Trigger points are hypersensitive, palpable knots in the muscle. They can hurt at rest and during movement and often refer pain to other regions – trigger points in the buttock, for example, into the leg.
Common causes are permanently tense muscles from long periods of sitting or repetitive movements, sudden overload or too little recovery after sport. Trigger points can also develop as a result of other problems such as osteoarthritis or a herniated disc.
If left untreated, they can contribute to chronic pain. We treat trigger points manually or with dry needling and combine this with exercises so that the complaints do not return.
